The Das Family Patriarchs:

Rajeeb and Sher-Lu Das

Sher-Lu and I met in college through a mutual friend in 1999.  I picked her up using my now infamous line, “You are not some crazy art major are you?”  To my surprise, she indeed was an art major.

Since that point, we have been inseparable.  I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000 and began work in Dallas for PricewaterhouseCoopers.  In 2002 Sher-Lu finished her two degrees, a Bachelor of  Arts in Biology and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, also from the University of Texas at Austin.

Sher-Lu then obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston.  Upon completion of her medical degree, we became married May 26, 2006.  Both of us now live in Jacksonville, FL.

In June of 2007, we had our first “baby” – a chocolate lab that shares many of our traits.  According to our friends and family, she shares Sher-Lu’s looks, but got my brain.  Appropriately, we named her Hershey.

 

Sher-Lu Das

Sher-Lu – my lovely wife.  She currently works at the Mayo Clinic as anesthesiologist.

When she is not at work, she spends a great deal of time on her true passion, art.  You can find her amazing work at her website.  One of the joys of being married is that we can share such hobbies.  Many times Sher-Lu takes my photos and creates her own artwork from these pieces.  The results are amazing.

My wife also both a green thumb and is amazing in the kitchen.  Sometimes I am amazed at what she can come up with from three four random ingredients and some various items from our garden.

Sher-Lu is truly an amazing woman.  I am very pleased to call her my wife.

 

 

Hershey Das

Hershey Das – Our first born of the family.  As you can see in this picture, she owns the backyard.

Her hobbies included:  Playing fetch, eating, sleeping, getting the paper and watching TV.  She especially loves Battlestar Galactica.

Don’t let the relaxing gaze fool you, she is a highly pampered dog.  She has multiple dog houses, an automatic infrared watering device as well as a preference for high quality flooring.  She rarely sits on normal carpet; her paws can only tolerate hand-woven carpets from foreign lands.

She is currently single and if you are interested, she likes long walks in the park and occasional swim in the lake.   Must like Sci- Fi and be able to share the ball.  Only serious suitors please.

 

 

 

 

Myka and Mila Das

As the love of our lives, and our first and second “human-born”. Myka and Mila and brought some thing special to Sher-Lu and I.  Each has a unique personality.  Myka the born leader and negotiator, while Mila the serious one.  Both bring unparalleled entertainment to our lives.
